Description:
I have a really hard time getting my kids with autism motivated to talk while they play. After explaining to my students how part of play is talking with friends (and makes the friends happy) I use this checklist for the first few play sessions to provide visual feedback to the student. It has worked as a really strong positive reinforcer for kids. I try to fade it out as soon as possible so that the interactions become more internally motivating for the students.
